The German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (VDE) suggests that regulations that discourage the use of balcony power plants and other mini-energy generation systems should be dismantled so that consumers should be able to more easily generate their own electricity.
They suggest increasing the output power limit from 600 to 800 watts and allowing the connection of Schuko plugs. The VDE also demands that these power plants should be able to be used on any type of meter and the reverse function should be allowed.
In order to facilitate the use of mini power generation systems, the VDE is in favor of allowing the Schuko plug to be used for power feeds up to a total system power limit of 800 W. The company Solarclip Technologies GmbH from Brandenburg already offers 800W balcony power plants by means of black, few millimeters flat, flexible and ultra-light solar panels - which allow to be assembled and disassembled in a few minutes. You can even take them with you everywhere, e.g. camping, traveling, on the boat etc. - and with the 800W power you are also prepared for the obviously coming future. Therefore, it only makes sense to invest in an 800W power plant instead of a 600W model.
